5 Simple Rules To Become A Successful Entrepreneur

If you want to become an entrepreneur, you may want to understand what it really takes to become one. There is no shortcut to success in any field. Many people made a lot of unsuccessful attempts before they gained success as entrepreneurs. So, these entrepreneurs have shared some rules that beginners should follow in order to achieve success. In this article, we are going to discuss 5 of the must-follow rules that you can follow to climb the ladder of success as a business owner.

1. Work smarter, not harder

If you think an entrepreneur is a professional who works day and night, you need to think again. Although hard work is the key to success, the reality is quite different. If you work every minute of the day, no one can guarantee that you will achieve the success you desire.

As a matter of fact, overworking can cause extreme fatigue. As a result, you will make mistakes that can cost you a lot of time and money. Apart from this, you cannot have all the skills required to take care of different aspects of your business. Therefore, you may want to work smarter, not harder. This is how a lot of people have made millions in the here and now.

2. Consult experts and hire professionals

Consulting experts is a great idea if you want to get effective guidelines to run your business affairs. For instance, you can consult Charles J Mosley Jr who is a self-driven goal-oriented entrepreneur. Also, he is the founder of Echelon Productions in Dallas, Texas. His insights can help you with your business matters.

If you are not good at something, you want to hire a professional that can take care of other assignments. This will give you plenty of time to focus on other aspects of your business that you can easily handle. Good entrepreneurs are aware of the importance of delegation.

Although it can be scary to add more employees and team members, you have the option to hire remote workers. They can work from their own offices and homes, and you don’t need to arrange special workplaces for them.

3. Get more done in a cost-effective fashion

Although hiring the services of freelancers may not be an ideal choice for an established business, it can be quite an affordable option for a startup. The reason is that most freelancers are from third world countries where the cost of living is quite low. Therefore, this approach can be quite cost-effective compared to in-house full-time employees.

4. Face your failures

If you want to be a successful entrepreneur, you may want to look for the right people for your business projects. However, this approach cannot guarantee success, which is why you have to be realistic. Sometimes, unforeseeable situations happen that ruin your momentum. In some cases, you have to suffer losses as well. The point is to avoid being afraid of failing. If you be patient and continue to struggle, you will achieve success.

5. Wake up early

Online Business Success

A great business leader is a many-sided person who has a lot of strengths and capabilities. He may manage budgets, spearhead marketing campaigns, plan products, network with industry experts, and assess contract management software.

He’s dedicated, industrious, bright, and creative. However even with all these admonitory qualities, a business leader is really only a leader if he likewise has one crucial trait: motivation skills.

As a matter of fact, regardless your walk of life, if you seek to be a successful leader you have to be able to motivate those individuals who follow your guidance.

Motivated people are more productive. They likewise are more likely to be pleased with their job and less likely to look for work elsewhere. However, how may you motivate your people and accomplish these results? How may you make them as passionate about your business as you are?

Here are a few hints:

There are 2 general ways of expressly motivating individuals: positive bonuses and negative tactics. Utilizing positive motivation produces goals and incentives to which your people may strive. Negative motivation involves utilizing threats or fear of reprisal in order to accomplish productivity goals.

Far too many people utilize a combination of the 2 in their attempt to motivate; this approach causes threats and incentives to cancel one another out and bring about counterproductive ends. For this reason it’s crucial to have a clear approach.

Naturally, when deciding between the 2, most experts would say that positive motivation nearly always works best.

Along similar lines, motivation frequently rises when a collaborate work environment is furthered. While producing individualized incentives might breed stress and competition among people, group projects and targets may transform into productivity, cohesion, and more propelled people, even on an individual level.

Bear in mind that a desire to construct a team culture ought to carry over into other areas. People who are good fit for the business ought to be sought out. People who detract from it, conversely, ought to probably be let go.

Hopefully these tips may help you plan a suitable motivational approach. While a good business leader might be highly motivated, a great one needs to be just as capable of instilling that same spirit in his people.

How to Choose Your LED Power Supply?

You will need a device to limit the amount of current reaching to your LED to protect it from overheating. These devices can be a driver or a resistor. If you do not regulate the current, LED can draw up much current than it is designed for. This can even lead to failure of your LED light.

In this article,           we will discuss some tips and tricks that will help you choose your next LED Power Supply.

Wattage

First thing first, find out how many watts your light will be consuming. If you need more than one LED you can sum up the watts of individual LEDs.

Now add more 20% to the total number of watts you calculated. This is to make sure that your LED does not get overheated easily. This can be done very easily. Just multiply your total calculated watts with 1.2. Now you can find a power supply as per the final calculated watt.

Let us take an example, you have 4 LED strips that consume 12 watts each. So, you have 12*4=48. So your total watt is 48 watts. Now add 1.2*48=57.6. So you are going to find a power of approximately 60 watts.

Voltage/Current

Before you build an LED fixture, you must find out whether or not the output voltage is compatible with the voltage of the LED. Using LED products that can regulate the current itself is very useful. In our example above, we would need a 12V power.

Another thing to consider is to make sure that the power supply, you are choosing can effectively handle the input power at your home. Line voltage can change depending on where you are living. It is important to know if you are living in an area of low-line power (90-120V) or high-line power (200-240V).

Dimmable LED

If you are using dimmable LEDs whose brightness can be adjusted make sure the power you choose should also have adjusting characteristic. You should go through the specifications and find out if your power supply is dimmable or not.

PWM Dimming: The characteristic of this dimming modulation is that they can be used in any power supply. Moreover, the supplies that do not mention “dimmable” can also be dimmed using these.

TRIAC Dimming: In this case, you would need standard dimmers to regulate the power.

Temperature and Weather

Alcohol & Drug Addiction Treatment Program Facts

What is addiction? Addiction is the result of abuse. In addition, abuse is the imbalance of how you live. Too much of anything creates an imbalance.

We are all addicts of some sort, with some addictions being more sociably acceptable than others.

Part of the problem lies within the derogatory attitude people have towards the sociably unacceptable addicts. They are labelled and pushed aside, or shoved into rehab centres.
Whether rehab treatment is successful or not is questionable.
Even though individual rehabs stats show that the success rate is high; this is not accurate at all.

The problem in getting accurate stats lies with the following fact:

o People leave a rehab, have a relapse, and then very seldom go back to the same rehab. They make use of another rehab, leaving the first rehab declaring false statistics, showing close to 100% success rate.

I base all my findings on my personal experience and that of my research of six months at S.A.N.C.A. Florida, South Africa. I do not believe that you can guide people to their own truth if you have not experienced this yourself.

Then there is the false notion that the counsellors, social workers or therapists are doing an excellent job with the rehabilitation program. Most in-patients at rehabs do not have the slightest notion as to why they even started using drugs, alcohol, or both.

So, herein then the answer to what addiction is and where it comes from:

As I have already stated; addiction is only an imbalance of a person’s lifestyle.

I come from an abusive childhood, where my father was drinking too much, by far, and as a result, physically abused my mother, my younger brother, and myself to such an extent that we hid and slept in other peoples’ gardens many a night, for fear that my father would shoot us with my eldest brother’s army rifle.

We always had domestic violence of some degree, for as long as I can remember. To the extend t that we were labelled by the neighbours. Friday nights came and we knew the neighbours would call the police to come to our rescue. My sisters were thrown out of the glass doors many times. The example I received of how a father and husband should behave was not the ideal one, yet the only one. I was not exposed to other families and how other fathers and husbands treated their families, because we were labelled, and kids did not invite us to their homes, out of fear.

As an adult, I lived the example I got from my father and saw nothing wrong with my behaviour at first. I am a good person of soft nature and mean nobody any harm. This is similar to wife beaters. At first, a man will just push his wife, then slap her, then with a closed hand and maybe draw blood, and so it becomes progressively worse.

When we get to the stage when we realise that there is a problem, we blame the drugs or situation not the cause. The escapes become progressively worse and so does the method. This is the reason why so many people go back to rehabilitation centres, repeatedly.

In my experience, the incorrect approach (or rather an incomplete approach) is used to find out why this person repeats the pattern of abuse. They are not guided to find their lost tools they need to find out what it is they truly want. They are to find that spark again. “Show me what makes a man come alive and you will know the man”.

Because “we” society, and the therapists tell them that every day is a struggle and they are recovering addicts, they believe this because we are the experts on the topic. The reasons for abuse need to be addressed before any other therapy can take place. The person needs to find a way to look inside and guided to his/her own truth, as to what the root cause for this abuse is.

When a person abuses a substance he does it to get, the feeling of what he perceives how life ought to be. The substance gives the artificial vibe or feeling that is so desperately desired. The high or space you reached with the substance simulates the natural state of oneness with your creator, universe or god, in a space of nothingness, where we all originate from.

Thus, the continued use becomes (ab-use). This becomes repetitive and labelled ‘habitual personality.’ My observation has shown that highly spiritual beings are more likely to be abusers, such as painters, musicians, poets and actors.

The abusers and addicts are told by us society, that “addiction is hereditary”, and that it is a disease for which there is no outcome. Yes – addiction is hereditary, but it is hereditary through cellular memory, and not in terms of disease. The word disease (dis-ease) translates; ‘discomfort’. It is not a virus that is inhaled and which is not curable as is the popular belief. The person chooses the disease and not the disease the person. Therefore; the person can choose again, and he can choose differently. Society regards addicts as doomed for life to battle this ‘thing.’ Moreover, they give this doomed thing a name, with the name being YOU!

Addicts are convinced they will never recover, never be cured. Look at the word again: con-vinced. I say it is all a con!

Shouldn’t any person be better off after kicking a bad habit? You were just fine before you did all this non-sense. The belief is that an addict will never have a normal life and. This is taken as the truth.

Thank God, beliefs can change! In religion, this happens every day; we marry people from different religious belief groups. In order to do so we adopt another belief to get married.

A person’s brain can be retrained. People with brain injury are proving it. They get progressively better and not worse. This has been proven.

I invite you to come and join me on a one-day workshop where you will have the opportunity to discover why you do what you do, and how to de-cellular learn this behaviour.

Through playing games, music, and meditation, I have come to a self-help tool that lasts. Allow me to show you that you can burn that bridge called ‘addiction and abuse.’ This is cellular learning, and that makes for a workable society that flourishes in potential.

How Do I Get Visitors to My Site? (The Truth About SEO)

Think of your site as a physical location. How would you get people to come and see you? Direct mail, newspapers, magazines, radio, TV, word of mouth, flyers, business cards, T seoholics  -shirts, packaging, FaceBook, Twitter, email campaigns, banner ads on websites – traditional advertising works for websites too.

Then there are those methods you can only use for websites: click through advertising and search engine optimization (SEO). Click through advertising costs either by the ad, like traditional advertising, or by the click – each time someone clicks on your ad to get to your site, you pay. As with other advertising channels, the more people who are known to view the page where your ad resides, the more you pay. Ads can appear on various web sites, or at the top of search engine pages. The most popular pay per click app is Google AdWords. Click through advertising may be a good option for you.

This article will focus on the other online only method: Search Engine Optimization (SEO). SEO is all about getting your site to the top of the list when someone does a search in Google, Bing/Yahoo or another search engine.

Watch out for Snake Oil

Many claim that search engine optimization (getting your site to the top of that list) is science or magic or some other sort of mystery that only a few very special people have the brains to understand. – NOT TRUE! Effective search engine optimization is a lot of work. And it does take some technical knowledge. But the basics are just that – basic.

The purpose of this article is to demystify SEO so that you can select an honest SEO firm. Or if you have a bit of tech savvy you can see that it’s not impossible for you to do on your own. And even for those of you who love to browse, but aren’t so comfortable with the technical details, there is a lot of the SEO job that you are more qualified to do (or at least supervise) than any SEO firm.

How much SEO do you need?

Is your site for your school and everybody who will ever want to find it on Google already knows it exists and will look it up by typing in “Peoria Middle School”? Then you need just the tiniest bit of SEO.

Is your site for your family car dealership and the tri-state area sees Uncle Joe on TV every spring hopping up and down in a bunny suit inviting “y’all” to “come on down to the Kalamazoo Kia Kangaroo Sale”? Yours is not the only car dealer in town and when people search for car dealers they will probably type in something like “Kalamazoo cars” rather than “Kalamazoo Kia”, although if they really like Uncle Joe’s bunny suit, well you never can tell. This situation calls for a little SEO.

Is your business is entirely online? Say you sell remanufactured camera parts that you refurbish in your garage nights and weekends. Then pull out all the stops. You need lots of SEO.

Put Yourself in Google’s Shoes

Look at SEO from the perspective of the search engines. What’s their objective? The same as yours: lots of visitors. How do they attract all these visitors? They put the most useful sites at the top of the search results list. How do they decide which sites are most useful? They look for the most popular ones.

That’s right. SEO is not rocket science. It’s a popularity contest.

So then, how do you make your site more popular? First let’s define popularity in search terms – links from other sites to your site. Think high school. Popularity equals friends. So you want lots of friends, and not just any friends, you want popular friends. But well, when push comes to shove, not so popular friends are better than no friends at all. Translation – friends equals links and you want lots of links, but not just any links. You want links from sites that have lots of other sites linking to them. And those sites should have lots of sites linking to them and so on and so on and so on. A link from CNN.com is going to get you a lot more popularity points than a link from your local newspaper website. But then a hundred links from so-so sites might be better than one link from CNN. It’s hard to tell.

Why You Need to Understand Medication Management

Early in my mom’s tenure in assisted living, I noticed her monthly bill had a significant expense labeled as “medication management.” As someone who rarely takes any medication, I realized I needed to understand the process better.  I’ll be dedicating several posts in near future to this topic, as I believe family involvement in medication management is critical.

Medication is a Major Issue According to a 2006 study by the three leading non-profits – ACHA, NCAL and MEFC, medication is often a major component of an older person’s life, making it a major issue for assisted living facilities. The role of medication and medication assistance (called “medication management” by assisted living administrators) is surprising:

  • 77.5% of residents needed assistance with medications
  • Residents were taking an average of 13 medications

In an assisted living setting, residents rely heavily on staff to assist with the timely and correct delivery of medication.  But in the United States alone, nearly two million Americans experience adverse drug reactions from prescription medication each year.

What can you do to protect your loved one? A better understanding of medication management can help.

Where to Get Medications Families have several options for filling prescriptions on behalf of loved ones.  They are:

  • Mail order. Most health insurance and Medicare plans provide options for mail order delivery of medications.  Prescriptions are usually filled in 90-day quantities. Price discounts are usually offered over that of pick-up or local pharmacies. Unfortunately, mail order makes urgent medications challenging.
  • Pick-up. You guessed it?!  You or a family member pick up prescriptions and deliver them to the facility. For a small number of medications, this may be feasible.  But it doesn’t work for multiple prescriptions on multiple delivery schedules.
  • Local pharmacy delivery. Prescriptions are filled and delivered by a local pharmacy 1-2 times daily. Since assisted living facilities usually contract with a single pharmacy, rush orders and other conveniences are widely available. I recommend this option for all but the most hands-on families.

Introducing the Med Room So where do they store all that stuff? It’s called a “med room.”  The med room is a restricted-entry office that holds all resident medication, dosage records and prescription histories.

If you’re looking into assisted living for the first time, you should ask to see the med room.  From an audit perspective, if you already have a loved on in assisted living, you should periodically ask to see the med room.

Your goal in visiting the med room is to validate the following:

  • Medication is stored in a well-organized manner like that seen in hospitals
  • Files are well-organized and clutter is at a minimum
  • The staff can quickly share with you your loved one’s medication and prescription history
  • There is a supply of pudding or apple sauce for those residents that have trouble swallowing pills
  • Contact information for your loved one’s doctors is readily available
  • The door is kept locked (verified by staff unlocking the door when they let you in)

Who Administers Medication Medications are provided to residents by a medical aide (called “med techs” by administrators).  Med techs are responsible for the maintenance of the med room and for administering medications correctly and in a timely manner.

Med techs typically lay out all medications on a labeled delivery tray and deliver medication to each room. Their role is to ensure residents take their medications, although they will often leave medications with caregivers, if they are present.

In the unfortunate event of hospitalization, the med tech will also provide a copy of all current medications to paramedics or the individual taking your loved one to the hospital.

Keeping Track of It All As a family member, you should stay well informed of the medications your loved one is taking. The dosage record is the easiest way to do this.

A dosage record is kept for each patient and resembles the graph paper we all used in grade school.  Along the left side of the page is a list of medications. Across the top are days of the month. Every time a medication is given, the med tech is required to sign the box corresponding to that medication and date.

The best way to spot-check medication management is to randomly request copies of the dosage report.  Secondarily, ask the staff to notify you when medications are added or discontinued, so that you have a real-time understand of the medications being consumed.

Medication Management Works Medication management is a valuable service provided by the facility. Your involvement and periodic oversight will go a long way to ensuring your loved one is properly cared for. Your knowledge of their medication regimen will also better prepare you in the event of an adverse reaction.

Effect of Liberalisation in Insurance Industry

Introduction

The journey of insurance liberalization process in India is now over seven years old. The first major milestone in this journey has been the passing of Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority Act, 1999. This along with amendments to the Insurance Act 1983, LIC and GIC Acts paves the way for the entry of private players and possibly the privatization of the hitherto public monopolies LIC and GIC. Opening up of insurance to private sector including foreign participation has resulted into various opportunities and challenges.

Concept of Insurance

In our daily life, whenever there is uncertainly there is an involvement of risk. The instinct of security against such risk is one of the basic motivating forces for determining human attitudes. As a sequel to this quest for security, the concept of insurance must have been born. The urge to provide insurance or protection against the loss of life and property must have promoted people to make some sort of sacrifice willingly in order to achieve security through collective co-operation. In this sense, the story of insurance is probably as old as the story of mankind.

Life insurance in particular provides protection to household against the risk of premature death of its income earning member. Life insurance in modern times also provides protection against other life related risks such as that of longevity (i.e. risk of outliving of source of income) and risk of disabled and sickness (health insurance). The products provide for longevity are pensions and annuities (insurance against old age). Non-life insurance provides protection against accidents, property damage, theft and other liabilities. Non-life insurance contracts are typically shorter in duration as compared to life insurance contracts. The bundling together of risk coverage and saving is peculiar of life insurance. Life insurance provides both protection and investment.

Insurance is a boon to business concerns. Insurance provides short range and long range relief. The short-term relief is aimed at protecting the insured from loss of property and life by distributing the loss amongst large number of persons through the medium of professional risk bearers such as insurers. It enables a businessman to face an unforeseen loss and, therefore, he need not worry about the possible loss. The long-range object being the economic and industrial growth of the country by making an investment of huge funds available with insurers in the organized industry and commerce.

General Insurance

Prior to nationalizations of General insurance industry in 1973 the GIC Act was passed in the Parliament in 1971, but it came into effect in 1973. There was 107 General insurance companies including branches of foreign companies operating in the country upon nationalization, these companies were amalgamated and grouped into the following four subsidiaries of GIC such as National Insurance Co.Ltd., Calcutta; The New India Assurance Co. Ltd., Mumbai; The Oriental Insurance Co. Ltd., New Delhi and United India Insurance Co. Ltd., Chennai and Now delinked.

General insurance business in India is broadly divided into fire, marine and miscellaneous GIC apart from directly handling Aviation and Reinsurance business administers the Comprehensive Crop Insurance Scheme, Personal Accident Insurance, Social Security Scheme etc. The GIC and its subsidiaries in keeping with the objective of nationalization to spread the message of insurance far and wide and to provide insurance protection to weaker section of the society are making efforts to design new covers and also to popularize other non-traditional business.

How to Make Money Online With WordPress and Other Blogging Sites

WordPress is probably the number one free blogging platform in today’s society. Thus thousands of bloggers around the world use WordPress to power their blogs (including me). But how can WordPress, a FREE blogging platform, earn you some significant income? Here is a step-by-step guide showing how to make money with WordPress.

1.) Select a Niche

The absolute MOST IMPORTANT element of a website/blog is the niche. Choose a specific and unique niche you feel comfortable writing about. For example, if you’re really good at web design, write about a specific part of web design such as coding. Make sure that your niche isn’t vague, because then search engines like Google and Yahoo! will NEVER find your website/blog.

Once you’ve chosen your niche, brainstorm some articles you can write. This will help in the long run; trust me, you don’t want to start a blog and half a year down the road you have a sever brain fart and can’t write any more articles. Make sure your niche is specific but broad enough so you can write at least 2,000 articles on it!

2.) Create Your WordPress Blog

You need to create a WordPress blog. WordPress is a free blogging platform, but you will need a website first, and the website needs to be hosted one of two ways: Free Hosting or Paid Hosting.

Free Hosting

If you’re looking for a free hosting service to host WordPress, the best solution for you would probably be WordPress.com hosting. I recommend this option because it is 100% free and from WordPress itself! The WordPress platform automatically comes with the free web hosting service from WordPress.com (as the name suggests) and you won’t have to worry about all the complications of web hosting (name servers, updates, mysql databases, etc.)! Plus, setup is a breeze and you get to choose your own domain (has to be a subdomain of WordPress.com though). Trust me, free WordPress hosting doesn’t getting any better than WordPress.com!

Another option would be finding free web hosting services and installing WordPress manually. This is not recommended because it takes a lot of hassle finding a 100% free web hosting service with a good up-time and support for WordPress. I would definitely recommend WordPress.com hosting over free web hosting.

The last and worst (in my point of view) option for free WordPress hosting is self-hosting your website. This is the MOST complicated process as you have to port forward according to your router, install a self-hosting service such as WAMP, and get a free domain from No-Ip.org (subdomain of course). The worst part about it is that your website will have absolutely NO bandwidth due to the fact that you yourself are hosting your website. I’m not even going to go in-depth with this; you can Google how to self-host WordPress because I will not waste my time explaining my least recommended method of free web hosting.

Paid Hosting

Paid Hosting allows you to have complete control over your WordPress blog (you can write whatever you want; with WordPress.com hosting you have to abide by their terms of service). Bloggers often use this to their advantage, as creating beautiful-looking templates and site design is a breeze with paid hosting. First, you’ll need to find a good web hosting service. I recommend HostGator because (in my humble opinion) they are cheap yet offer the best support and compatibility for WordPress. With HostGator, simply sign up (you get a free domain with any plan) and in your control panel you can 1-click install WordPress! Once you’ve installed WordPress, you’ll be good to go!

3.) Get a Theme, Configure WordPress Widgets, and Start Writing Stuff!

Once you’ve set up WordPress, I recommend selecting a theme. WordPress has a large variety of themes, and you can decide on which one suits your blog the best. The second step after installing WordPress is installing widgets. Widgets are special components of your WordPress blog that each have a specific function.

In my opinion, SEO, Backup, Cache, and anti-Spam are the widgets you absolutely need. Other fancy widgets are up to your discretion. After installing the widgets (you can decide which ones you need and which ones you don’t), get ready to write! Remember step one? Hopefully you can already spit out a couple of blog posts from your brainstorming!
